A Sudanese online grocery store committed to solidarity
We created this online store for Sudanese products because since we arrived in Europe, we’ve often felt homesick. And in those moments, sharing a cup of Hallomar or Agashé kebabs with friends would have done us a world of good.
Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to find certain Sudanese products in Europe, or at exorbitant prices.
We hope to change this to bring a smile to your face, even away from home, and to introduce Sudanese specialities to the rest of the world.
Online grocery at the right price
We are committed to offering affordable prices for all the products we distribute. The margin is calculated as closely as possible to cover our operating costs and to ensure that this store will be around for a long time.
Profits from grocery store donated to refugee aid association
If our grocery store appeals to the Sudanese community (but not only) and orders exceed our expectations, we’ll obviously keep prices low, but economies of scale on our operating costs should enable us to make a profit. 20% of these profits will be donated each year to associations working on a daily basis to help Sudanese integrate into society in France.
Who is this online grocery store of Sudanese products for?
This store is for anyone who wants to buy products that are usually consumed in Sudan. Either out of nostalgia or curiosity.
Suitable payment and delivery methods
As it’s not always easy to pay over the Internet or to have your order delivered to a specific address, we are currently setting up a network of relay points where you can collect your order and pay for it using the payment method of your choice, including cash.
What products are sold in our online Sudanese grocery store?
The first products you can already find in our store are our homemade Agashé spice blends.
As for the rest, we’re still finalizing agreements with our suppliers so that we can offer you the spices, dried foods and beverages consumed in Sudan. But also cosmetics, and soon clothes and Sudanese handcrafted products.
